M.M.Alex Mathew

Alex Mathew became familiar to Malayalam film audience by his role as a Bus Owner 'Babu' in the Super hit film 'Thoovanathumbikal' which was directed by P.Padmarajan in the year 1987.It was a well noted film in which Mohan Lal acted in the male lead role.Parvathy and Sumalatha were in the female leads.In this film the handsome young  actor 'Alex Mathew' was liked by the  audience.Prior to that film in the year 1986 he had acted in another hit film of Mohan Lal 'Rajavinte Makan' which was directed by Thampi Kannanthanam.In that film Ambika was the heroine.
Alex Mathew was born in Kottayam in the year 1958 and  was settled in Chennai with his wife and two  children.
Alex Mathew (Dr.M.M.Alex Mathew) was not just an actor or confined as an actor but he was a Scientist in Human Life Science and had a Doctorate  Degree.He did research for 30 years and also known for the 220 documentations and papers which dealt with varied subjects like spirituality, world peace,human rights,health' and so on.
He was the founder of organisations like 'Jeevasasthranjan,Vedic India Society and Institute of Ancient Integrated Therapies'.
Dr.M.M.Alex Mathew had also served as a member of the  Jury for National film Awards.He was producer of more than 200 documentaries.
For the upheaval of Sanskrit Language he was given a National award by name 'Samskrita Mitra'.He was also recipient of an Award from the 'Universal Peace Federation'.
He acted in more than 65 films in Malayalam,Tamil,Telugu and in Hindi which he  appeared mostly in Villain roles.
In Malayalam his appearance in the film 'Randam Varavu' in 1990 along with Jayaram and Rekha which was directed by K.Madhu and in the film 'Parampara' directed by Sibi Malayil in the same year in which he acted along with Mammootty were also well noted.
M.M.Alex Mathew died of Cardiac arrest on June 23, 2015 at Chennai.

Ayiroor Sadasivan

P.N.Menon was a critically acclaimed Malayalam Film director whose films were all well noted.In 1973 he directed the Malayalam film 'Chayam' and it was produced by S.K.Nair, the owner and editor of 'Malayalanadu Fortnightly Magazine'.Sheela,Sudheer,Raghavan,Roja Ramani,Sankaradi,Adoor Pankajam etc acted in it.The film was a big success.It contained six songs out of which five were written by Vayalar and the other was written by Kannadasan.The music composer for all the songs were by G.Devarajan.
Two male solos were sung by the newcomer singer 'Ayiroor Sadasivan' and he sang the song 'Amme Amme Aviduthe Munpil njanaru Deivamaru' and another song 'Sreevalsam Maril..' in this film.The song 'Amme Amme...' became an instant hit and the singer became highly popular in Kerala.

Ayiroor Sadasivan was born in Ayiroor of Alapuzha District and as a singer he became famous as a singer for drama troupes and was associated with music Composer M.K.Arjunan.
After singing the songs in the film 'Chayam'  he sang the song "Symphony Symphony...." along with L.R.Easwary for the film 'Panchavady' written by Sreekumaran Thampi and music composed by M.K.Arjunan.
The songs "Udaya Sowbhagya Tharakayo" and "Kochurama Karingalee" from the film 'Anjathavasam' were sung along with Yesudas for the film 'Anjathavasam' in 73 itself.
His popularity as a playback singer was boosted by the solo song "Monchathi penne nin chundu" which he sang for  the film 'Maram' and it was written by Yusafali Kecheri, music was by Devarajan.
Then he sang in films 'Dharma Yudham and Kaliyugam' in 73.
In the year  1974 he sang in films 'Chandrakantham,Sapamoksham,Sethubandhanam,Rajahamsam,Alakal,Ankathatt' out of which many were duets along with Madhuri,Janaki,L.R.Easwari etc.He sang songs along with other main singers like 'Yesudas,P.Jayachandran and Brahmanandan' in many films.
The song "Angathattukal uyarnna nadu" which he sang along with P.Leela,and Madhuri was a big hit.Ayiroor Sadasivan along with P.Leela and T.R.Omana sang two songs of the film 'Mattoru Seetha. in 1975.
Ayiroor Sadasivan sang the song "Eeswaranmarkellam" for  the film 'Love Marriage' and the song "Sangathi Arinjo' in the film 'Mucheettukalikkarante Makal' along with P.Jayachandran.
Along with Brahmanandan he sang the songs "Gopakumara' in 'Rahasyarathri',
"Jaya Jaya Gokula" in 'Palazhy Madhanam'.
Along with Sreekanth he sang the song "Bhagawan Bhagawan" in the film 'Kottaram Vilkkanundu'.

Madhuri with Ayiroor Sadasivan and chorus sung the song "Janmadinam Janmadinam' in the same film.
He was the music director of the film 'Vipanchika' in 84 and sang the solo song "Ithile pokum Kattinu Polum" in it.Another song "Kalambottakattile Chilambutta Penne" in that film sung by K.S.Chitra became a hit song.
"Swamiye Saranm Ayyappa" was a hit song of Ayiroor Sadasivan in 1985.
He was a music director at Akashavani and also an audition committee member.
He used to participate actively in music programs. While coming back to his home  after taking part in a music program at Angamaly,  his car went out of control and fell in a paddy field near Onnam bridge at  Manackachira on Alapuzha-Changanacherry road as per the newspaper reports.This mishap happened on 9th April 2015 at 7.45 am and Ayiroor Sadasivan died in that accident.The car was driven by his son Sreekumar, who escaped with  minor injuries.

Simple Kapadia

Simple Kapadia was a well known actress and Costume designer in Hindi Cinema.Her elder sister is the popular actress Dimple Kapadia.
Simple Kapadia was born on 15th August 1958 .Her entry into the film field was by acting in the female lead role of the  super hit film 'Anurodh' in the year 1977 opposite her real brother-in-law Rajesh Khanna.The film was directed by Shakti Samanta in which Vinod Mehra,Rita Bhaduri,Utpal Dutt etc were the other actors.
Simple Kapadia then acted  secondary roles mostly in supporting roles and was active for more than 10 years.Meanwhile she tried her hand in costume designing for films which also proved to be a success.Heroines like Sreedevi,Tabu,Amrita Singh,Priyanka Chopra were there among her clientele. 
She received National Award for costume design for the 1993 film 'Rudaali'.
She performed Costume designing for films such as 'Insaaf,Drishti,Lekin,
Darr,Aaj Ki Aurat, Rudaali,Barsaat,
Jaan,Ajay,Chachi 420,
Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai,
Kasam,Gafta' etc.
After acting in the film Anurodh, next year in 1978 she acted in the film 'Chakravyuha' in which Rajesh Khanna and Neetu Singh acted as the main pair
and Simple Kapadia acted in supportive role as the character .Nandita'.
In the film 'Man Pasand' Dev Anand and Tina Munim were the lead pair and she was in the supporting role.Dev Anand and Tina Munim were the main pair
of the film 'Lootmar' also in which she acted in supporting role.
In the film 'Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai' Rishi Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure acted in the main roles.
In the year 1985 Shekhar Suman and Simple Kapadia acted as the main pair of the Video film 'Rehguzar' which was directed by Jyoti Swaroop.The film was shown on 'Doordarshan' TV Channel in 1987.
'Pyar Ko Do Dil' was a film of 1986 in which Simple Kapadia acted.Mithun Chakraborty,Jayapradha and Simple Kapadia acted in main roles of this film.
In 1994 Simple Kapadia received National Award for costume designing for the film 'Rudaali'.That film was directed by 'Kalpana Lajmi' in which her sister Dimple Kapadia and Rakhee played main roles.Dimple Kapadia received National Award as Best Actress for her role in the film 'Rudaali'.
Simple Kapadia also acted in the main role of the Tamil film 'Kizhakkum Nerkum Sandhikarana' in 1979.
Simple Kapadia was diagnosed of Cancer in 2006 and she passed away at a Hospital in Andheri,Mumbai on 10th November 2009.

Gavin Packard

Film spectators would be remembering the 1988 super hit Malayalam film 'Aryan' which was directed by Priyadarshan in which Mohan Lal was the male lead.He acted as the character 'Devanarayanan' who was accused of the theft of 'Thiruvabharanam' from the local temple.The poor innocent man fled to Mumbai to escape from the Police and there he join hands with a Don.In this movie a resident of Mumbai's suburb 'Kalyan' acted as a local goon and it was his debut film in any language.He was 'Gavin Packard' a body builder and National award winner for the same.
Gavin Packard was born on 8th June 1964 at Kalyan in Mumbai and his grandfather was of Irish American Origin.
In 1989 he entered Bollywood films by acting in the film 'Ilaaka' in which he acted as a smuggler who kidnapped children.Dharmendra,Mithun Chakraborty and Sanjay Dutt were the main actors of that film.
In the same year in 1989, he acted in the Malayalam film 'Season' written and directed by P.Padmarajan, which was a crime thriller that revealed the story of a revenge.Mohan Lal portrayed the central character of the film in which Maniyan Pillai Raju,Asokan,Jagathy Sree Kumar,Leena Nair etc acted.It was set as all happened at the lovely beach of 'Kovalam' in Thiruvananthapuram.In this film Gavin Packard portrayed the villain character 'Fabien Remenez' and the character was well noted and he became a familiar figure to Malayalam film goers.The character which he depicted in this film would be perhaps the most well noted and important role in his film career.The throughout role of that film emulates Mohan Lal's hero character in 'Season'.
He became an established actor of Bollywood from 1989 and acted till 2000 mostly as a villain and in negative type roles.
In the film 'Jurm' (1990) he acted as a Minister's goon.
In the film 'Deedar' in which Akshay Kumar and Karishma Kapoor were the main pair in 1992, he had a role.
'Mohra' the musical action thriller movie  which gave much fame to Raveena Tandon, Packard acted in a negative role.
In the film 'Karan Arjun' directed by Rakesh Roshan, he acted as a Boxer.
Salman Khan,Sharukh Khan,Mamta Kulkarni,Kajol and Rakhee acted in it.
In the film 'Hulchul' he acted along with Vinod Khanna,Ajay Devgn,and Kajol.
In the film 'Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi' (96) he acted with Akshay Kumar,Raveena Tandon,Rekha,Gulshan Grover etc.
In the movie 'Pardesi Babu' (98) his role was as a wrestler and acted along with Govinda,Raveena Tandon,Shipa Shetty etc.
In the Malayalam film 'Ayushkalam' directed by Kamal, he played the role of Benjamin Bruno.
He was  a trainer and body builder to few Bollywood actors also.
He died of respiratory disorder on May 18, 2012 at Mumbai.

Mohan Choti

Mohan Choti was a comedian actor of Hindi Cinema who appeared  in large number of films  from 1954 to 1992.He amused the audience along with other actors like 'Mehmood,Tun Tun' etc. and earned the love and accolades from all.
He was born in the year 1939 as 'Mohan Atmaram Deshmukh'  and entered films in 1954. He  earned name and fame by acting in films like 'Devdas'(55),Musafir(57),Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi(58),Kagaz Ke Phool(59) etc.
In the film 'Dhool Ka Phool' in 1959 Mohan Choti acted as the character 'Jaggu' along with the main pair Rajendra Kumar and Mala Sinha.Director was Yash Chopra.
In the comedy film 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi' Kishore Kumar and Madhubala were the main pair.
In the film 'Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere'(60) he depicted a notable character 'Choti'.
In the film 'Unpath' he depicted the younger stage of character  'Kalu'.The older  part of

 'Kalu' was acted by 'Dhumal'.Balraj Sahni and Mala Sinha were the main actors.
Dharmendra,Ashok Kumar and Mala Sinha were the main actors of the film 'Pooja Ke Phool' in which his role was as 'Katpatia'.
He acted along with Mehmood in the film 'Bhoot Bungla' which was produced and directed by Mehmood in 1965.
He also acted a role in the blockbuster film 'Love in Tokyo' along with Joy Mukherjee and Asha Parekh.
He acted in the film of Rajesh Khanna-Mumtaz pair 'Do Raaste' in 69.
He had a role in the super hit film 'Amir Garib' along with Dev Anand and Hema Malini in 1974.
He portrayed the role of 'Mohan Singh' in the 1978 film 'Azad'.
In the Rajesh Khanna-Zeenat Aman hit film 'Jaanwar' of 1983 Mohan Choti also acted.
In the film 'Dana Pani' directed by Devan Verma in 1989 he acted along with Mithun Chakraborty and Padmini Kolhapure.
In 1992 he acted in the film 'Sarphira' along with Sajay Dutt,Madhavi,Kimi Katkar etc.
Mohan Choti died on February 1, 1992 in Mumbai at the age of 52.
