Director P.N.Menon who was an artist also made fine movies which drew attention of the critics and masses and so it helped M.G.Soman very much. The film was a big hit.He became famous with the debut film itself and new offers for other films came in search of him.He did not insist to act as hero only and took villain type roles also but in several films he was hero during those days.Special mention is needed for his 1977 film 'Itha Ivede Vare' in which he was the hero and Jaya Bharathi, the heroine. It was written by famous novelist P.Padmarajan.(Padmarajan later became famous film director ).I.V.Sasi who is another artistically talented director created the film 'Itha Ivide Vare' in which Soman handled the role nicely. He got much applause for his efforts and earned good reputation.
